The Llantrisant & Pontyclun Golf Club is situated in Talbot Green approximately 2.5 miles north of Junction 34 of the M4. The 18 hole course is parkland bordered to the north by the Ely river which adds a picturesque backdrop to 3 of the greens. Wild fowl are attracted by the ponds on the lower part of the course and coupled with the views of forest and mountain the visitor is presented with the one of the most delightful scenarios in Welsh golf. Although under 6000 yards the course presents a challenge to the most ardent golfer in that the greens are small and the fairways narrow. The club house facilities have recently been enhanced by total refurbishment of both Ladies and Gentlemen's locker rooms, the bar is well stocked with a wide range of beers, wines and spirits and a full catering service is available up to 9 O'clock in the evening. Parties and special events can be catered for by prior arrangement (see catering section). The club has always been proud of its reputation for welcoming visitors born out by the number that return every year.
